USG 3592 winter wheat was exhibits a semi-erect
growth habit. Plant color is green with yellow color anthers. Spikes
are strap, middense, and awnletted. Glumes are medium in lenghth
and width, and have oblique shoulders with acute beaks. Kernels
of USG 3592 are red, soft, and oval. The phenol reaction is ivory.
Maturity od USG 3592 is considered Early-Medium and head emergence
is 2 days earlier than Pat and 2 days later than AGS 2000. Average
plant height is 34" - 36". Straw strength is fair. USG
3592's disease package includes Resistance to leaf rust, hessian
fly, soil-borne mosaic virus, and septoria nodorum blotch. USG 3592
is also moderately resistant to powdery mildew.
